Frisson is an eight-piece band composed of Oberlin Conservatory (OH, USA) students and alumni. Drawing heavily from jazz, fusion, rock, R&B, and electronic music, Frisson's eclectic music is heavily influenced by the preeminent genre-crossing artists of today: Hiatus Kaiyote, Snarky Puppy, and Moonchild. Its songs contain strong rhythmic foundations, singable melodies and rich harmonies that serve as a springboard for improvisational explorations. The band released its debut, self-titled EP on February 1st to critical acclaim. The band will be touring the United States in summer 2016 in support of the album, including stops at the Idyllwild Jazz Festival (California) and the Deer Valley Amphitheater.
